Matt. 4:23

“Repeatedly the Lord has instructed us that we are to work the cities from outpost centers…”

The burden of Christ’s preaching was, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Thus the gospel message, as given by the Saviour Himself, was based on the prophecies. {DA 233.1}

We share the same burden as Christ… to awaken God’s people to the time in which we live and with this Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world. We share the experience of the sanctuary and the work that is to be done by all who are preparing to meet their Lord.

Jesus pointed to a specific gospel that should be preached in the last days that will usher in His coming.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be PREACHED in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. – Matthew 24:14

This chapter contains the Three Angels Messages

In the First Angels Message of verse 6 the Bible says “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to PREACH unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred and tongue, and people…

This is the Gospel commission that needs to be carried out and it is the foundation of our preaching ministry.

There are many precious truths contained in the Word of God, but it is “present truth” that the flock needs now. {EW 63}
