½ cup walnuts or cashews           ⅓ cup water
¼ tsp. sea salt                                 ½ tsp. coriander
⅛ tsp. cardamom                           2 Tbsp. maple syrup

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Soak whole wheat slices until completely covered. Lightly oil a skillet and place soaked bread slices in skillet. Brown both sides of the bread. Serve with maple syrup or fruit sauce and a fresh fruit salad.
Yield: 5 to 6 slices
